One of the UK’s largest Hair and Beauty Wholesalers are looking to recruit a Finance / Accounts Assistant.
The permanent full-time office-based position working hours are 8.30 am- 5 pm Monday- Thursday and 8.30 am – 4 pm on a Friday (based in the Stockport office 5 days a week).
The successful candidate will be part of a busy Finance team who create an effective and efficient operation of the Alan Howard Finance Office, personally delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Working with the Finance Office Manager and Financial Controller, the
candidate will ensure that they deliver outstanding performance and excellent customer service at all times, in accordance with Alan Howard guidelines and procedures.
Duties
- Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts.
- Update Internal reports
- Balance sheet reconciliations for debtors and creditors
- Balancing/reconciliation of multiple companies.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Processing of Expense claims
- Dealing with telephone and email queries both internally and externally
- Maintain all areas of customer service excellence standards.
Desired Skill Set / Core Competencies:
- AAT Level 3 / 4 qualified essential.
- Previous experience of working within a busy Finance office.
- Previous experience working in a similar role is essential.
- Confident in processing high volumes of transactional data.
- Experience working with multiple countries, overseas suppliers and multiple currencies
- IT literate in accounting systems and Excel.
- Strong Communication Skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
- Query resolution skills.
- Motivation and enthusiasm.
- Outstanding customer service.
- Time Management skills
