About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager to oversee our refurbishment and remanufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving operational targets while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities to ensure operational targets, quality standards, and customer requirements are achieved.
- Manage workflow, labour resources, and production schedules to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and support production teams, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management where required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards across all refurbishment and remanufacturing activities.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Purchasing teams to ensure material availability and efficient stock management.
- Oversee assembly and refurbishment processes, providing technical support and troubleshooting where necessary.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental procedures are followed, promoting a safe working culture across the operation.
- Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of best practices, standard operating procedures, and operational improvements.
- Contribute to the achievement of business objectives through effective leadership and operational excellence.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, refurbishment, or remanufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience leading teams and developing people.
- Experience implementing process improvement initiatives and driving operational efficiencies.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
- Mechanical or engineering knowledge with an understanding of assembly and refurbishment processes.
- Experience working within regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments.

Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
