Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Site Manager to oversee and coordinate large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive supervising experience, and proficiency in project planning tools such as Primavera P6. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead diverse teams, ensure project delivery within scope, time, and budget, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality on site.
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and monitor progress regularly to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Supervise site teams, including foremen and labourers, providing guidance and support to optimise productivity.
- Oversee health and safety compliance across the site, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Manage procurement processes, including sourcing materials and equipment necessary for construction phases.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, milestones achieved, and any delays or issues encountered.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes continuous improvement and professional development.
Skills
- Proven management experience within the construction industry, with a track record of successfully leading large projects.
- Extensive supervising experience overseeing diverse teams on active construction sites.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar project management software for scheduling and resource planning.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Sound understanding of health & safety regulations pertinent to construction environments.
