As we are currently a relatively small company, we like to employ people who are willing to learn multiple aspects of the business so that we have cover for holidays and sickness periods. This role will be predominately an Operational Planning Assistant role but there will be general administration duties daily.
The role can encompass a multitude of duties including :-
Operations:
· Working alongside the Operations Manager
· Proactively liaise with team leaders and operators daily.
· Progress Tracking – assisting in identifying conflicts and delays
· Communicating changes with the team, customers and suppliers
· Maintaining and updating data
· Routine reporting
· Initially working alongside the Operations Manager but eventually progressing to take ownership of tasks.
Administration:
· Processing accounting documentation including processing of purchase and sales invoices. Sage Accounts 50 experience advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided – this element is more data input than needing financial expertise.
· Filing / scanning and collection of technical documentation
· Admin support throughout the business as required
· Processing Timesheets alongside HR
· Answering telephone / door
· Inputting information on to the company data base.
· Supporting customers / suppliers via telephone and in person
· Dealing with all documentation related to the accounts field.
· Maintaining noticeboards – option to create wellbeing and environmental posters
Our ideal candidate would possess the following :-
· Good communication skills.
· Good Maths, English and IT skills.
· A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office – Microsoft Access would be advantageous
· Flexible approach & quick to learn
· Experience with Sage 50 Accounts (not essential)
Starting Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum.
