Due to recently expanding, we have an opportunity for a new baker to join our team on a part-time basis! This is for a minimum of 28 hours per week, worked over 7 days per fortnight plus additional holiday cover where required. Willing to discuss more hours for the right candidate.
Bake shifts start at 3am Sunday-Friday & 1am on Saturdays. You will not work both weekend days in one weekend and full weekends off are rotated between staff.
Shifts are 8-9 hours on average.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- All aspects of bread making including mixing, shaping and baking.
- Production of yeasted and sourdough loaves, as well as a variety of other breads/baked goods including ciabatta, focaccia, pizzas and calzone.
- Keeping the bakery clean and adhering to hygiene standards.
- Driving license to help deliver locally to wholesale customers is desirable but not essential.
The essentials:
- Have experience in a commercial kitchen or similar fast paced hospitality environment.
- Have knowledge of food preparation and hygiene standards.
- Be used to / comfortable with the early starts.
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience with commercial bread baking.
- Knowledge or experience of sourdough.
