ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a Purchasing Executive to join our Sales/Purchasing team within a fast-paced aviation aftermarket environment. This is a hands-on role supporting the sourcing, purchasing and supplier management of aircraft components, often working to tight turnaround times to meet customer demand.
You’ll play a key role in building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring parts are sourced efficiently, competitively and in line with customer and commercial requirements. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll help drive timely, cost-effective procurement decisions in a dynamic and evolving market.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re open to candidates with different levels of experience. You might already be working in purchasing or looking to build your career in procurement.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in Purchasing Administration or Buyer roles
- Exposure to the aerospace or aviation sector, particularly Used Serviceable Materials (USM)
- Experience working with ERP or purchasing systems
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of pricing, cost control or supplier negotiation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the sourcing and purchasing of aircraft components in line with operational and commercial priorities
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing and strong service levels
- Liaise with suppliers to manage lead times, resolve issues and ensure on-time delivery against customer requirements
- Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality and delivery outcomes
- Analyse supplier data and market trends to support commercially sound purchasing decisions
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and update internal systems in line with company procedures
- Work cross-functionally with sales, operations, logistics and finance to support fast, efficient end-to-end processes
SKILLS AND QUALITIES
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to build effective supplier relationships
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to cost and value management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
- Good Excel and general IT skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in an administrative role (purchasing experience desirable).
- GCSEs including Mathematics and English – Grades 4–9 (A*–C) or Functional Skills Level 2.
- Further education or procurement‑related study (e.g., CIPS Level 2) desirable.
