About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our brand-new nursery setting in Great Chesterford as a Midday Assistant.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an important part in creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment. You will support children during lunch times, help promote healthy eating habits, and assist the wider nursery team throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children during lunch times and encouraging healthy eating habits
- Preparing, serving, and clearing away meals
- Washing up, cleaning dining areas, and mopping floors after lunch
- Covering staff lunch breaks where required
- Supporting children's personal care needs, including changing when necessary
- Ensuring children's medical and dietary requirements are met
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
- Supporting children's wellbeing, development, and daily routines
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Following all nursery safeguarding, health and safety, and operational policies
