Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section within the kitchen. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the Head Chef and other team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Oversee the daily operations of a specific section within the kitchen, ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to.
- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to the sous chef or head chef.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workstation, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitised and stored.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that all food preparation meets health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality presentation and flavour balance.
- Experience in meal preparation across various cuisines is desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in a team-oriented kitchen setting is preferred.
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the establishment.
