Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Support the implementation and review of individual care plans, ensuring personalized and effective care delivery
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment for those in your care
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards
- Communicate clearly with team members, clients, and their families to ensure understanding and coordination of care needs
- Support transportation needs by driving clients to appointments or outings safely and responsibly when required
- Monitor health status by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Basic IT skills for documenting care activities and updating electronic health records accurately
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety protocols, and confidentiality standards is advantageous
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring flexibility and responsiveness
