Live-In Weekend Carer

ABOUT AMELIA
Amelia is 35 and has learning disabilities. She lives in her own home in the countryside, surrounded by the family farm. She has a regular weekday carer and this role provides continuity of care across the weekend.
Amelia is fully mobile and able to dress and wash herself independently, though she benefits from gentle supervision for her wellbeing and safety. She does not typically need assistance during the night. She enjoys joining in with cooking and household tasks, loves films and music, and has a gentle, cooperative nature and a great sense of humour.
THE ROLE
You will take over from the weekday carer on Friday at 5pm and provide cover through to Sunday at 5pm. Although you will be present throughout the weekend, typical active working hours are 8-10 hours per day. Amelia does not require assistance overnight, giving you time to rest.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care, supervision, and companionship
- Assisting with meal preparation and light household tasks
- Supporting Amelia’s daily routines while promoting her independence
- Planning and accompanying her on outings (e.g. cinema trips, dog walks, and local activities)
- Caring for and daily walking of one dog

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Female applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement)
- Right to work in the UK. No visa sponsorship available
- Full UK driving licence; confident and experienced driver
- High standard of spoken English
- Enhanced DBS check required
- Clear occupational health check and strong professional references
