The Role:
We are looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has some previous experience in an accounting role.
This position is office based in Weymouth, permanent and preferably full time, but part time considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Assisting with the preparation of the related tax computations and returns
- Book-keeping and maintaining accurate financial records on Xero, Quickbooks, Sage and similar software
- Assisting with VAT returns
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and answer queries
About You:
- Some prior experience in an accounts role is essential, preferably within an accounts practice
- Familiarity with some accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) is essential
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills and a professional manner
