The Role:
Old Trafford Tours & Museum are responsible for delivering world-class tours and experiences that immerse visitors in the rich history and heritage of Manchester United Football Club, creating unforgettable memories for fans from around the globe.
We are seeking a highly organised and engaging Museum Assistant who will be responsible for welcoming Manchester United Museum & Tours visitors and providing support with bookings, upselling merchandise and answering queries. You will serve as a brand ambassador for Manchester United and adhere to all operational, health & safety and security procedures.
Key responsibilities will include:

Delivering the highest standards of customer service to all guests, recognising and responding to the variety of languages and cultures represented among our visitors.

Using the department’s booking system to process bookings, new sales and booking alterations.

Ensuring the security of tour attendees and the stadium at all times.

Engaging with guests regarding exhibits and exhibitions as they pass through the Museum.

Helping to supervise the flow of visitors throughout the Museum and its experiences.

Ensuring the Museum is consistently presented to a high standard and remains clean and tidy.

Upselling all ancillary Museum & Tours products and cross-selling other venue-related products.

Assisting with the safe operation of the virtual reality experience, including onboarding, offboarding and monitoring visitors.

Undertaking any other duties reasonably requested by a manager.

Working flexibly across a 7-day operation, including busy periods at weekends and around match days.
The Person:
- Has the ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve queries and complaints quickly and effectively.

Is confident engaging with a wide variety of visitors and communicating event information to groups.

Maintains high standards of personal presentation.

Has an interest in, or willingness to develop, knowledge of the history of Manchester United Football Club and the competitions in which it competes. Training will be provided.

Can remain calm under pressure and demonstrates a strong ‘can-do’ work ethic.

Is self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team, as required.

Has basic levels of English and Maths.
