Manage the successful delivery of a defined projects within the GBRX portfolio - working across multiple projects, workstreams, and delivery partners to coordinate activity, manage progress, and contribute to long-term impact. This role provides innovation and technology delivery oversight and planning support across a portfolio of work that may include digital pilots, research, systems development, or capability building. Reporting to the Senior Innovation Delivery Manager, you'll help turn strategy into a functioning portfolio by maintaining delivery momentum, managing key risks, and enabling teams to stay focused and aligned.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver a defined workstream or a collection of projects within a GBRX portfolio, ensuring outcomes are achieved to agreed time, cost, quality, and scope.
- Develop, own, and manage delivery plans, setting milestones, monitoring progress, and adjusting pace or priorities as needed.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating critical blockers with recommendations for resolution.
- Lead the preparation of delivery reporting and performance updates, providing clear, structured insight for senior leaders, delivery boards, and external stakeholders.
- Shape and input into business cases and investment plans, providing evidence from deliver planning and real-world delivery conditions.
- Lead engagement with delivery partners and suppliers, aligning expectations, overseeing delivery performance, and safeguarding value for money.
- Direct commercial and procurement activities within the workstream, including writing specifications, contributing to tender evaluations, and managing delivery against contract.
- Establish and maintain delivery standards, embedding tools, templates, and assurance processes
- that enable consistency and transparency.
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying ways to improve pace, remove duplication, and embed learning across the delivery lifecycle.
- Act as the accountable delivery lead for your workstream, representing progress, decisions, and risks to senior internal and external stakeholders.
