Duties
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student’s skill level, learning style, and musical interests
- Teach proper technique, music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills for piano and violin
- Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement
- Prepare students for recitals, exams, or performances by coaching them through repertoire and stage presence
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, attendance, and student achievements
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and upcoming events
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching piano and violin to diverse age groups
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey musical concepts and motivate students
- Ability to work effectively with children and adapt teaching methods for special education needs if applicable
- Knowledge of music theory, performance techniques, and pedagogical best practices
- Enthusiasm for inspiring students and fostering a love of music in a fun, energetic manner
Pay: £30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 2.0 per week
