Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions accurately
- Prepare ingredients and organise workstations for efficient service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Serve food to residents or assist serving staff during busy periods
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to at all times
- Support catering events by preparing and organising food items as required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of meals
Requirements
- Previous experience, catering, or kitchen environment is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Basic cooking and meal preparation skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and food service
- A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills
