An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Primrose Unit at Bedford Hospital.
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated individual with strong IT skills to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting and enhancing the existing chemotherapy service , contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Duties
- Provide comprehensive organisational and administrative support for the chemotherapy service at Bedford.
- Ensure the smooth day to day operational management of chemotherapy treatments
- To be responsible for scheduling chemotherapy treatments after first cycle to fully utilise resources available within the unit.
- To support the chemotherapy co-ordinator in managing cancer waiting target lists.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To manage the chemotherapy booking diary on IQEMO to ensure full utilisation of chair capacity on a day to day basis.
2. Manage own day to day workload and adhere to strict timescales working within the Trust and departmental policies and procedures.
3. To escalate any concerns regarding capacity of treatment slots to the deputy service manager and chemotherapy unit team leader.
4. To reschedule patients where treatment has been deferred ensuring that any review and phlebotomy appointments are adjusted accordingly.
5. To answer telephone, emails and face to face enquires in a professional and timely manner using tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
