The Morritt Hotel & Garage Spa is part of Squirrel Hotels, a family-owned hospitality business operating two hotels in the North East of England. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food, service and guest experiences in a welcoming and professional environment.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team. Working alongside our Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will help prepare and present high-quality dishes while maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a busy, professional kitchen and is passionate about delivering outstanding food and guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present dishes to the highest standards.
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness practices.
- Support menu development and food preparation alongside the Head Chef.
- Ensure efficient stock rotation and minimise food waste.
- Monitor portion control and maintain consistency in food quality.
- Support colleagues across the kitchen team as required.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Contribute to an organised and efficient kitchen operation.

Hours
- 30 hours per week.
- Working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and public holidays.
- Early starts required.
