In our busy Mould Shop, you’ll play an essential role in keeping production running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for following procedures to get machines up and running, carrying out regular machine checks, examining finished products and packing them correctly. The products you produce are supplied both to customers and for use elsewhere within the factory.
You’ll receive the training you need to learn the role and our processes. The factory is busy and fast-paced, but we’ll give you time to learn. We’re a friendly team, and hard work and commitment will be rewarded.
Key responsibilities include:
- Loading and operating machines correctly to meet production requirements.
- Performing regular machine checks and ensuring machines are running correctly.
- Checking products for size, weight, machine accuracy, quality and consistency.
- Examining, packing, identifying and labelling finished products correctly.
- Packing products directly from the machine into the relevant boxes.
- Completing paperwork and maintaining accurate production records.
- Booking work accurately on the computer.
- Meeting production targets and deadlines.
- Raising quality concerns immediately with the Mould Shop Supervisor/Manager.
- Reporting any safety concerns immediately to protect yourself and your colleagues.
- Maintaining good housekeeping and safe working practices.
- Wearing the correct PPE at all times.
What we’re looking for:
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate paperwork and records are vital. We need someone we can rely on to follow our processes, work safely and consistently, and support the rest of the team with a positive and friendly approach.
You’ll need:
- The ability to follow strict procedures and health & safety guidance.
- Good attention to detail and basic maths skills.
- The ability to accurately meet targets and deadlines.
- Good timekeeping and reliability.
- Basic computer skills – we’ll show you what you need to know if you’re rusty!
- The ability to understand important documents, procedures and health & safety information in English.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
