Overview
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hairstyling treatments, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise diverse skills, including barbering, ladies hair application, in a professional and welcoming environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating customised looks that enhance each client’s individual style while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism.
Duties
- Provide a wide range of hair styling services, including cutting, colouring, blow-drying, and specialised treatments
- Perform barbering services for male clients .
- Offer personalised consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles or treatments
- Manage front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments and assisting clients upon arrival
- Upsell additional services and retail products to maximise client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Mentor junior staff members and trainees to foster skill development and team cohesion
- Maintain a clean, organised work station in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Store management duties may include inventory control and product ordering as required
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or Barber with a recognised qualification in hairdressing or barbering
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Experience in store management or retail sales is advantageous but not essential
- Previous experience in mentoring or training junior staff members is an advantage but not essential
- Excellent communication skills to ensure clear understanding of client needs and preferences
