Smart Solutions is currently recruiting for a Sort Line Operative for our client based in Cheltenham depot (GL52). Our client is transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment.
As a Sort Line Operative, you will be responsible for the removal of recyclable material and non-recyclable materials from a moving conveyor safely and productively, ensuring that pick rate targets are achieved.
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Overtime available after 4:00 PM
- Overtime paid at £15.89 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Separating & placing materials for further recycling in the appropriate chute
- Picking at defined rates, selective materials from a moving conveyor
- General housekeeping and cleaning of machines & the operator cabins
- Follow all site health and safety rules
- Sorting recyclable materials on a conveyor belt
- Removing contaminants
- Keeping up with production targets
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Working as part of a supportive team
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive manual tasks
- Punctuality, reliability, and flexibility
