Distribution Operative - 40 hours

As a Distribution Operative, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in the day-to-day management of the Distribution warehouse. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. All training is provided. You will use gas or electric powered forklift trucks to load and unload, move, or stack materials or products.
The rate of pay is £13.69 per hour, £547 per week, £28,475 per year plus opportunities for over time, paid weekly.
Duties:
- Forklift truck daily checks – accurate completion of paperwork for full traceability.
- To pick and wrap orders and sample requests in a safe manner.
- To fill in all paperwork and record product as it is picked.
- Book pallets onto data system, checking that stock is booked in from both units.
- Transfer stock from Expack to correct location.
- To distribute product to the specified locations/customer vehicles.
- Load wagons checking all paperwork. temperatures are correct.
- Loading/unloading Cheps blue pallets.
- Ensuring all part pallets completed.
- To ensure stock is rotated first in first out.
- To ensure all H & S and Hygiene regulations are adhered to.
- Manage work area and freezer. This can mean lone working and working in temperatures as low as -22C.
- To cover when the part box coordinator is absent in collating part boxes and samples.
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience
- FLT License (Reach & Counterbalance) preferred
- Ability to handle materials safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
