Mobile Electrical Engineer
Contract: Key Account Network
Location: Covering Cornwall, Devon and Somerset (up to Taunton), with the main travel areas being Exeter and Plymouth

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a facilities maintenance team covering a diverse portfolio of sites across Exeter and Plymouth, including banking and education environments.
This role offers exposure to a wide range of building types and engineering challenges within a dynamic mobile position.
Job Description
We are looking for either an experienced maintenance electrician or someone earlier in their career who is keen to develop additional skills and progress within a multi-skilled engineering environment.
The successful candidate will deliver electrical and building services maintenance including fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works
- Carry out small project installations and minor works
- Perform asset swaps and maintenance-related replacement works
- Respond to ad hoc repairs and breakdowns
- Escort and supervise subcontractors on site
- Participate in the call-out rota
- Complete overtime and additional works when required
- Undertake company-required training and competency development
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Electrical qualifications and maintenance experience
- Stable work history (ideally demonstrating longevity in previous roles)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work across a varied facilities maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Team player who is keen to develop into a multi-skilled engineer
- Must hold UK driving licence
About the Role
This is a true facilities maintenance position where no two days are the same, with work across multiple sectors and building types. Engineers typically manage a workload split of approximately 70% electrical and 30% fabric/general maintenance.
Engineers work closely with electrical, gas and air conditioning specialists, offering strong opportunities to broaden technical capabilities and become more multi-skilled.
