Part-Time Animal Care Assistant
We are looking for a Part-time Animal Care Assistant for 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday) to join our team. This role will include working weekends on a rota basis. Flexibility is essential. With opportunities to incase and do overtime.
Please note: this role includes working bank holidays as part of your normal schedule.
Key Responsibilities
This role requires you to:
- Clean kennels and cat pods to a high standard
- Exercise and provide enrichment for animals
- Prepare food and maintain feeding routines
- Administer medication where required
- Spend quality time with animals, ensuring their welfare and comfort
- Communicate with customers and take bookings (including phone calls and emails)
- Collect and transport animals in our transport vans
Full training will be provided to ensure you can carry out all duties confidently.
Requirements
Please ONLY apply if you meet the following criteria:
- A Level 3 Animal Care qualification or higher
- Must have hands-on canine experience outside of your own home
- A genuine passion for working with animals and all aspects of their care
This role is not just about cuddling animals — you must be prepared for physically demanding work and getting dirty.

- Mouthing and rough play
You must be confident and comfortable working with a wide range of behaviours.

Pay: £18,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
