Trainee/Junior AV Installations Engineer
We offer a specialist service in creating impactful digital signage in retail, hospitality and corporate environments, including: Stadium LED, digital menu boards, bespoke retail displays, EOPS and touch-point ordering. Trison UK are looking for a Trainee/Junior AV Engineer (Installations) to join our team in Stockport.
- Location: Stockport, with travel around the UK.
- Pay: Negotiable depending on skills, qualifications & experience. We pay a hourly rate but guarantee full time pay.
- Overtime rate at time and a third after 200 hours per month; weekend rate and night rate at time and a half. Travel is paid.
Job Specification:
The role of the Trainee/Junior AV Engineer is to support the AV Engineers in the installation of a range of AV Solutions to our client sites meeting our SLA’s to a high level. Due to the nature of our business, our Engineers generally start their day early to attend the first site before the client opens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the AV Installations solutions to our clients on site, to include installation of screens, projectors, LED, digital signage, drive through units etc.
- Learn how to fully install a range of AV systems and eventually complete installations with minimal supervision/support.
- Use a range of power/hand tools to complete the job.
- Learn about our SLA’s and how to complete jobs to high level of standard
- Complete our internal knowledge based training by providing evidence of knowledge
- Learn about our reporting processes required for all installations providing suitable picture and details as required
- Travel to client sites across the UK and overseas as required - shared driving
- Ensure onsite professionalism
- Comply with all HSE requirements
- Work with the key departments to ensure a successful installation
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, able to use initiative and professionalism.
- Ability to commute to Stockport daily
- Full UK driving license - Manual
- Proactive drive to learn and develop
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Use of hand and power tools
- General interest in AV technologies

Pay: £27,500.00-£29,500.00 per year
