Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality & H&S administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality assurance across our processes and systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organisational policies. Duties:
- Update the Quality & H&S systems. This is a customised system where full training will be given
- Process Quality & H&S documentation ensuring revision control is kept at all times and system is up to date
- Become part of the internal audit programme
- Maintaining and updating quality documentation (policies, procedures, work instructions, records)
- Assisting with internal and external audits, including preparing evidence and tracking findings
- Monitoring compliance with quality standards and company procedures
- Collating quality performance data and preparing reports for management review
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaising with departments to ensure consistent application of quality standards
- Assisting with supplier quality records and approvals where required
- Maintaining H&S records, including risk assessments, COSHH documents, and safe systems of work
- Logging and monitoring accident, incident, and near-miss reports
- Supporting investigation processes and ensuring actions are recorded and followed up
- Assisting with H&S audits and inspections
- Scheduling and tracking staff training (e.g., manual handling, fire safety, first aid)
- Maintaining training matrices and certification records
- Ensuring H&S documentation is up to date and accessible
- Supporting toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings
- Monitoring compliance with safety procedures and reporting issues to H&S managers
- Assisting in preparing reports for H&S meetings and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Previous internal audit experience would be an advantage
- Excellent softare skills. MS office 365 a must with excellent word processing and excel capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail (accuracy is critical for compliance records)
- Good organisation and ability to manage multiple documents/tasks
- Ability to maintain filing systems (digital)
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines (e.g., audits, reports)
- Experience with document control systems or databases (e.g., SharePoint or QMS software is a plus)
- Ability to input, track, and analyse data (incident logs, audit findings, KPIs)
- Clear written communication for reports, procedures, and documentation
- Professional verbal communication with staff across departments
- Ability to support training sessions or inductions when needed
- Confidence in chasing actions and following up on compliance issues
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
