General Manager
Location: Great Harwood, Lancashire
Full Time
About Us
Aquarius is a family-run manufacturing business based in Lancashire. We design and manufacture high-quality spare wheel covers and accessories for Land Rover Defenders, INEOS Grenadiers and other 4x4 vehicles.
We've built a great reputation over the years by making quality products and looking after our customers. Now we're looking for someone to help us take the business to the next stage.
This isn't a job where you'll just keep things ticking over. We want someone who enjoys finding new opportunities, improving the way things are done and helping a small business grow.
The Role
As General Manager, you'll work with the directors and be involved in every part of the business.
Some days you'll be looking at sales figures, meeting customers or working on new ideas. Other days you'll be helping solve problems on the shop floor, speaking to suppliers or supporting the team in the office. No two days are the same.
We're looking for someone who can take ownership, make decisions and genuinely care about the future of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Helping to grow the business by finding new opportunities and increasing sales.
- Looking after existing customers while developing new business.
- Supporting and managing a small, friendly team.
- Keeping production, sales and the office running smoothly.
- Working with our social media manager to help create content and promote our brand.
- Working with suppliers and helping manage stock levels.
- Monitoring sales, margins and overall business performance.
- Making sure customers continue to receive the service we're known for.
About You
You'll probably have experience managing people and running a business or department, but more importantly, you'll have the right attitude.
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys taking responsibility.
- Can see the bigger picture while still getting involved in the day-to-day running of the business.
- Has good commercial awareness and understands what drives sales and profit.
- Is organised, practical and good at solving problems.
- Communicates well with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Wants to be part of a business for the long term and help it grow.
- Bonus points for loving 4x4's!
Experience in manufacturing or the automotive industry would be an advantage, but it isn't essential if you have the right skills and mindset.
What We Offer
We're a small family business, so you'll have the chance to make a real difference. Your ideas will be listened to, and you'll have the opportunity to help shape where the business goes next.
We offer:
- Competitive salary depending on experience.
- Company pension.
- A supportive working environment.
- A varied role with plenty of responsibility.
- The opportunity to grow with the business.
Interested?
If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact and help grow a successful manufacturing business, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
