John Haynes has been established since 1978 and is one of the largest independent Mercedes-Benz specialists in the South of England.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our busy and professional workshop. While we specialise in Mercedes-Benz, previous Mercedes-Benz experience is not essential. If you're a skilled technician with strong diagnostic and mechanical abilities, we'll provide the support and training to help you develop your expertise.

About the Role
You'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics to a high standard across a wide range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. You'll work alongside an experienced and supportive team using modern diagnostic equipment in a well-equipped workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining high levels of workmanship.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with workshop procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Vehicle Technician (Level 3 or equivalent preferred).
- Previous workshop experience within a dealership or independent garage.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and pride in producing quality work.
- Mercedes-Benz experience is an advantage but not essential.
