1-2 days per week, 8hrs a day, but there is room for discussion.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and creativity, ensuring consistency and quality
- Follow established recipes, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist in meal assembly, plating, and presentation to enhance customer satisfaction
- Manage food inventory levels, restock ingredients, and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas throughout each shift
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food prep or serving as needed
- Adhere to health regulations and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
- Bake fresh cakes daily to ensure our cake cabinet is full.
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or cafe setting is preferred at a minimum of Level 2
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of ingredients
- Kitchen experience involving meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation is highly desirable
- Baking experience preferred but willingness to learn is also desirable.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving customers and managing multiple tasks efficiently is a plus
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
