Ness Bank Dental Practice are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Dental Hygienist to join our friendly, well-established and approachable team.
Our proudly independent practice treats Private, NHS and Highland Dental Plan patients and experience in this type of environment would be an advantage.
The successful candidate must be willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care and have the ability to work on their own initiative, as well as part of a team
An understanding of Dentally computer system is beneficial but not essential as full training would be given.

About You:
The role involves working closely with dentists, dental nurses and other members of the team. You should be confident working with patients, explaining treatments clearly and making people feel comfortable during their appointments.
Main duties:
· Carry out routine dental hygiene appointments and periodontal care.
· Provide oral hygiene advice and practical guidance to patients.
· Assess patients' oral health and identify areas requiring further attention.
· Provide appropriate preventive treatments within your scope of practice.
· Keep accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
· Follow infection control, health and safety and practice procedures.
· Work closely with the dentist and wider dental team.
· Maintain a professional and caring approach with all patients.
· Keep your knowledge and clinical skills up to date through CPD.
Essential Requirements:
· Recognised qualification in Dental Hygiene or Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
· Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
· Good understanding of the GDC Standards and Scope of Practice.
· Good communication skills and a friendly manner.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Good organisation and time management.
· A patient-focused approach to care.
· PVG membership
· Commitment to maintaining professional development and CPD.
Desirable Rquirements:
· Previous experience working in a dental practice or public dental service.
· Experience treating patients with periodontal problems.
· Experience working with nervous, elderly or vulnerable patients.
· Familiarity with Dentally software.
