Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing diverse menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Supervise kitchen staff during service, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety legislation and internal policies.

- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Experience working in restaurants or hospitality settings with a focus on high-quality service delivery.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Good understanding of menu development, food presentation, and serving standards.
