Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them in selecting eyewear that suits their style, comfort, and vision requirements
- Measure and verify prescriptions accurately using specialized equipment
- Fit and adjust eyewear to ensure proper alignment, comfort, and optimal visual performance
- Provide detailed explanations of lens options, coatings, and frame features to help patients make informed decisions
- Maintain accurate records of patient prescriptions, transactions, and eyewear modifications
- Collaborate with optometrists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Conduct laboratory tasks such as lens edging or mounting when necessary, utilizing laboratory experience for precision work
Skills
- Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy to understand eye structures and vision correction needs
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex optical concepts clearly and confidently
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
