Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Works Foreman/Woman to oversee our manufacturing operations in the UK. Based in our facility in Smethwick, this role is vital to ensuring smooth production processes and maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met.
- Manage and supervise the production team, fostering a productive work environment.
- Liase with Works Manager on a daily basis.
- Co-ordinate with suppliers to optimize workflow.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust plans as necessary.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Prepare reports on production performance and suggest improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the factory
- Work alongside the Health & Safety Officer to ensure Health and Safety is carried out in the correct manner.
- Liase with Storeman to ensure stock control is in order
- Complete all neccessary paperwork
- Roller Shutter experience is preferred
- Qualifications
- Proven management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Supervising experience with strong leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
