Typical yearly earnings of apprentices currently employed (including overtime) are between £15,000 - £27,000 (Gross) (based on the lowest £8.00 per hour rate).
As an Electrical apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various settings. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor with whom you are paired. A valid driving license is required for this role, as you may need to travel to different meeting points or local job sites.
We undertake varied electrical installations mainly across the petroleum industry.
Compromising of, but not limited to - shop refits, forecourt rewires, complete knockdown and rebuild projects, and electric vehicle charger installations (AC chargers - 400kW DC chargers), we also carry out reactive and pre-planned maintenance, testing, and inspections to a wide variety of prestigious clients in the petrol retail sector.
We are looking for an ambitious, independent, and hard-working individual who is a good team worker. The applicant must be willing to work short and long distances away from our base (including staying away) to help us continue to meet the needs of our clients.
Although specific qualifications to our working environment are advantageous, we are fully committed to supporting any potential candidate progressing onwards to all industry-relevant qualifications.
Overtime is widely available. (Generally, a working week is between 40-60 hours per week)
Overtime is paid at time + a half for all hours after 8 hours a day.
No pay deductions for break or lunch.
All travel time is paid (full pay from home at the start of the shift, to home at the end of the shift, at the applicable hourly rate for hours worked that day) (travel time paid at flat rate, or time +1/2, or double time, subject to hours worked, or applicable weekend overtime rates).
Saturday is time + half for all hours worked.
Sunday is double time for all hours worked.
All working away is the standard above-mentioned hourly rates + £1 per hour for all hours worked.
