Duties
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Helping with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding care needs
- Driving to and from client appointments or care visits as required
- Following all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Good IT skills for maintaining records and updating care documentation
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
