We are seeking a friendly and efficient Waitress/Barista to join our vibrant team at our Mediterranean Restaurant. This role involves providing exceptional customer service in a lively café environment, preparing and serving beverages and food items, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail to deliver an outstanding experience to our guests. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring prompt service.
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to quality standards.
- Serve food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and provide correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
- Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
- Manage multiple tables or orders simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Ensure a welcoming environment by engaging with customers professionally and courteously.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role is desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures to uphold hygiene regulations.
- Ability to prepare a variety of beverages with precision and consistency.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Pay: £12.71-£18.33 per hour
