Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician / Draft Person specialising in stone worktops and bathroom fittings. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and 3D models to support the design and installation of bespoke stone surfaces. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed CAD drawings and schematics for stone worktop installations, bathroom fittings, and related components.
- Utilise software such as AutoCAD, and SketchUp to produce accurate models and plans.
- Collaborate with design teams, project managers, and clients to interpret project specifications and translate concepts into technical drawings.
- Prepare fabrication drawings and layout plans ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Assist in reviewing design proposals and making modifications based on feedback or site conditions.
- Maintain organised digital files of all drawings, schematics, and revisions for easy access and version control.
- Support site teams during installation phases by providing technical guidance based on drafted plans.
Experience
- Proven experience in CAD drafting within the construction or stonework industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SketchUp is essential.
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and construction documentation processes.
- Previous experience working with stone worktops or bathroom installations is advantageous .
- Knowledge of construction practices and familiarity with building codes will be beneficial.
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precision in all drawings and models.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications accurately and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
