Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across various commercial premises. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to creating a hygienic and welcoming environment for members and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, contributing to the overall presentation and safety of our facilities.
Hours of work will be 2.5/3 hours per day 5 days per week, from 8am onwards. Flexibility around working hours and days is essential as this may fluctuate based on events taking place.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms and communal spaces to ensure compliance with health standards
- Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunctions or shortages
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during cleaning activities
- Ensure all areas are left tidy and presentable at the end of each shift
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks as required, including carpet cleaning or window washing
- Also any other cleaning tasks that may arise.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning is essential
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
