Marketing & Communications Manager (B2B IT Services)
Reports to: Senior Management Team
Location: Leeds, near White Rose Shopping Centre
This role is within 5 miles of Leeds town centre/train station and will require regular presence in the office. We encourage applicants who live near Leeds or within a commutable distance.
Hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri) or part-time. Permanent role.

The role
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager to help shape how we present ourselves - internally and externally - and support our continued business development success.
This is a hands-on, varied role at the heart of the business. You’ll take ownership of our marketing, communications, and brand, while also playing a role in supporting bids and proposals.
You’ll work closely with our senior management and delivery teams to bring our work to life and strengthen our brand.
What You’ll Be Doing
Brand & Internal Communications
- Champion and maintain a consistent brand identity across all materials and communications.
- Updating existing company materials to a consistent brand using the newly created brand toolkit and guidelines.
- Develop and manage templates for presentations, proposals, and documents.
- Brief, if required, an external design agency on new collateral.
- Support internal communications and initiatives that improve engagement and knowledge sharing.
- Capture and share project successes, insights, and lessons across the business.
Marketing & Content
- Articulate our story, culture and why we are different both externally and internally – to foster pride in what we do with our team and customers, both existing and new business to Bluesmith.
- This will include creating and managing a subtle LinkedIn presence, creating engaging content and building our online visibility.
- Own and update website content, ensuring it stays fresh, relevant, and aligned to our positioning.
- Produce high-quality case studies in collaboration with delivery teams for audiences both business and technical.
Bids & Business Development Support
- Maintain a library of reusable content (case studies, standard responses, visuals).
- Ensure all sales and bid materials are consistent, clear, and well-presented.
- Help maintain up-to-date corporate CVs and company profiles.
- Support the development of tenders, bids, and proposals, working with the senior management team.
- Write, edit, and format content to a high professional standard.
Strategy & Performance
- Contribute to shaping and delivering our marketing strategy.
- Identify opportunities to enhance our presence (e.g. partnerships, PR, events, awards).
- Keep all marketing content and materials up to date.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can both demonstrate initiative and be practical – comfortable developing and presenting your own ideas to enhance our marketing as well as creating systems that will keep our marketing efficient and consistent.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in a marketing or communications role (ideally in a professional services, consultancy, or technical environment).
- A meticulous, consistency-focused approach to applying brand guidelines and templates accurately across all channels and touchpoints.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail and comfortable working with technical content.
- Experience creating new marketing content and collateral.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A self-starter – comfortable with being our first marketing hire.
- Genuine enthusiasm for values-led, employee-owned businesses and flat, non-hierarchical cultures.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience supporting bids/tenders and working with internal tech and sales teams.
- Exposure to creating B2B content, calendars and scheduling on LinkedIn.
- Experience working with external agencies and suppliers.
