About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Project Manager / Contracts Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to take manage multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from award through to completion, maintaining excellent client relationship, and ongoing resources. The Position is a hands on role where the successful candidate will have genuine autonomy, work directly with directors, and help grow the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of assigned projects from commencement to completion.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, contract terms, and project specifications.
- Coordinate and manage internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve successful project delivery.
- Oversee all aspects of health & safety, environmental, and quality compliance on site.
- Ensure the timely procurement of labour, materials, plant, and other resources required for project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and programme, taking proactive action to address risks and delays.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities, efficiencies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standard.
- Identify and manage project risks.
- Monitor project costs, variations and profitability.
- Build long-term client relationships and support repeat business.
- Ensure project documentation and contract administration are maintained.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a Project Manager or Contracts Manager role, ideally within the construction, civil engineering, or landscaping sectors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness with the ability to manage project budgets effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good IT Skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
