Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our fast-paced nursery alongside our enthusiastic team. The ideal candidate will have motivation, passion and a natural ability to care for children in the early years of their learning, they will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves supporting children's developmental needs through engaging activities, fostering positive behaviour, and working collaboratively with colleagues and parents. A background in childcare and nursery experience is desired, along with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- ·Supervise and care for children in the nursery setting, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and social skills
- Support children's emotional needs through positive interaction and encouragement
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities
- Manage behavioural issues with patience and professionalism
- Assist with organising nursery resources and maintaining a clean, organised environment
- Work flexible hours within our opening hours: 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, with a solid understanding of early childhood development
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within a team
- Experience with children of various ages, demonstrating patience and empathy
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Ability to organise tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting pick ups and drop offs to school preferred but not essential
- Welsh speaker preferred but not essential

Mandatory training preferred but can be booked onto training after the 3 month probation period. All job offers are subject to a DBS check, 2 references will be required if you are successful after the interview.
