We are seeking a diligent, tech-savvy, and highly organised Dining Room Receptionist with a strong focus on administrative and IT support to join our esteemed private members club in London. This pivotal role combines front-facing member interaction with digital and systems management, ensuring both seamless guest experiences and the efficient running of our dining room’s technological operations.
As the Dining Room Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our members—by phone, email, and face‑to‑face when booking in our dining room, bar or terrace areas. You will be responsible for managing electronic booking systems, troubleshooting IT issues related to member reservations and payment processing, and maintaining digital records. You will support the dining room team by ensuring all administrative and IT procedures run smoothly, while remaining the first point of contact for technical queries from both members and staff.
- Welcome members and guests, offering support with digital check-in and reservation platforms
- Respond to member and staff enquiries regarding online bookings, payment systems, and IT-related matters
- Manage and maintain the dining room’s reservation and event management software
- Process digital payments, ensure the security of sensitive information, and keep accurate electronic records
- Liaise with IT support and the dining room team to swiftly resolve any technical issues affecting service
- Maintain digital filing systems, update administrative documents, and generate reports as required
As part of your role as Dining Room Receptionist, you will oversee the secure and efficient processing of payments for member reservations and dining room services. This includes handling digital transactions using our integrated payment platforms, verifying payment details, and ensuring all financial exchanges comply with the club’s security protocols. You will be entrusted with safeguarding sensitive payment information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Accuracy is paramount, so you will be responsible for reconciling payment records, resolving any discrepancies, and assisting members with queries regarding charges or receipts. In addition, you will collaborate with the finance team to support end‑of‑day reconciliation and reporting, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and compliant with internal guidelines.
About the Role
You will manage bookings, process digital payments, and maintain an organised and efficient reception environment while supporting the dining room team. Your professionalism and care will ensure our members feel recognised, valued, and well looked after.
Experience in hospitality is preferred but not required: especially in a receptionist or host role, Background as a head receptionist, building receptionist, or administrator is still a good fit for the role
