About Us
DeepRoot is dedicated to building sustainable green spaces in urban environments through the manufacture, sales and support of our suspended pavement products, with a focus on growing large, healthy trees and managing stormwater onsite. Our family-owned business is operated by a team of dedicated, creative, and problem-solving individuals. We are experts in our field and are driven by both enthusiasm and integrity. We work hard to help our customers (including landscape architects, civil engineers, architects and contractors) find the best possible solution for their project.
The Role
The Specification Sales Manager will own the full sales cycle for DeepRoot's product solutions (Silva Cell, Marino Cell and root barriers) in the UK: from generating awareness and securing specifications with local authorities, civil engineers, landscape architects, multidisciplinary consultancies, and developers, through protecting those specifications during design development and value engineering, to quoting, negotiating, closing, and supporting successful installation on site. This is a hands-on, end-to-end sales role. You will take a project from first conversation to delivered scheme, and the specifications you create will be yours to convert and close.
Critical to success in the role is a strong belief in an improved built environment that balances urbanisation, development, green infrastructure, and pervious surfaces. You will leverage your technical and professional experience within the SuDS and green infrastructure industry to establish yourself as a trusted expert whom consultants and councils seek out, and to position DeepRoot products as the preferred solution to the UK's ongoing SuDS challenges.
The day will be spent communicating, selling, and supporting projects with a diverse set of clients. At one moment you may be in a landscape architecture office demonstrating the benefits of our products; later that afternoon you may be pricing a scheme, negotiating with a contractor, or on site explaining how best to install a SuDS solution. You will be on the road across the UK roughly 50% of the time, with the balance spent working from home supporting customers remotely, managing your pipeline in Salesforce, and developing new opportunities.
The role reports to the General Manager of DeepRoot Urban Solutions.
