About the role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and commercially-minded paralegal to join our expert, friendly Legal team as we provide legal advice to all parts of Immediate’s business. We’re looking for someone who feels an affinity with our values and who is dependable, builds great relationships and has strong organisational skills. You will have the opportunity to work with our qualified lawyers across a broad range of legal matters, supporting Immediate’s transformation to a subscriptions-first, AI-powered business.
As a Paralegal, working under the supervision of the lawyers in Immediate’s Legal team, you will:

Assist the Legal team and the wider business with high-quality work including supporting on matters relating to our talent rights programme, commercial and contract law, intellectual property, AI, content rights, events and marketing;
- Carry out legal research and prepare briefing documents for the Legal team or the wider business on new legal developments and regulation;

With support from other members of the Legal team, advise the business on laws relating to competitions, promotions and advertising standards;

Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents, including terms and conditions, talent agreements, contributor releases and content licences, under the supervision of a qualified lawyer, ensuring they are proofed and presented to a high standard, sometimes working within tight deadlines;

Generate, revise and develop precedent documents under the supervision of a qualified lawyer, and experiment with AI tools to streamline processes for contract generation;
- Supporting with internal stakeholder queries, managing signing processes and document filing, and maintaining the Legal team’s records and contract database; and

Provide administrative support to the Legal team as necessary, including facilitating the payment of invoices received by the Legal team.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who:

Demonstrates strong academic performance and has completed an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Law (or a related subject) or an equivalent qualification;

Has experience of working well as part of a team and to strict deadlines;
- Understands the importance of discretion and confidentiality in legal work;
- Displays excellent organisational skills, a flexible attitude, attention-to-detail and common sense;
- Works using their own initiative, and can prioritise tasks in accordance with deadlines and workload demands;

Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, analytical and relationship skills; and
-
Is resourceful, commercially-aware and inquisitive, with an eagerness to learn new skills and technologies; and

Has an interest in Media, Publishing, AI and the creator economy and shows real enthusiasm for understanding Immediate’s business and what we do.
This role would suit a person who enjoys a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to develop new skills.
