Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Event & Bar Coordinator to support our hospitality, wedding, and events team. This multifaceted role blends event management with bar supervision, requiring excellent organizational skills, customer service expertise, and a flair for creating unforgettable experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and operate the bar during events, ensuring top-quality service, accurate payment handling, and adherence to licensing regulations.
- Assist the events planner with the management of casual staff to ensure optimum bar operation and an effective shutdown of the event.
- Manage the daily /weekly bar requirements including ordering , stocktakes and bar maintenance.
- Support setup and breakdown of event spaces, including decorations, table settings, and equipment.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors as necessary to guarantee smooth event delivery.
- Communicate effectively with the Events planner to ensure that the clients specific vision is met and expectations exceeded.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all event activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality, bar service, or event management preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Knowledge of bar operations, beverages, and responsible alcohol service.
- Positive attitude, proactive approach, and a team player mentality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required by events. This role will generally require attendance of 2/3 evenings per week ( Thursday to Sunday) plus 1 office day. Total of between 24-38 hours.
