The Role
Accommodation Services are looking to recruit a motivated individual to work as part of the Accommodation Team.
You will be required to carry out day-to-day cleaning duties and also deep cleaning in student accommodation. Experience of working as part of a team and in a customer service environment is essential.
You must also have a flexible approach to working and be able to work at other residence sites as required.
Post – 37 hour per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 16:30pm.
Weekend work maybe also required as business needs.

Key Accountabilities
To clean, maintain, undertake general tasks and provide services to designated interior and/or exterior areas and associated fixtures, fittings and equipment within them to pre-determined standards and frequencies in order to ensure delivery of a high-quality accommodation service
To follow Statutory, University and Accommodation Services’ Health and Safety Policies and Procedures when undertaking tasks in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents, staff and visitors
To identify and report any defects, damage or hazards in the workplace e.g. to fixtures and fittings and equipment to ensure corrective action is carried out promptly and take immediate action where possible to warn others and/or remove hazards e.g. cordon off area, place warning sign or immediately mopping up a spillage
Where required, assist with stock control and issue of goods, using predetermined checklists, in order to ensure an efficient service and minimal wastage
To report concerns relating to a customer’s wellbeing to line manager or supervisor to ensure health and welfare of all customers
To deal with any routine customer queries or complaints to ensure continued customer satisfaction, referring complex matters to line manager
To assist the University in promotional activities e.g. showing prospective students and other visitors around during visit days
To support the Service’s commitment to training and development by participating fully in training courses designed to improve personal skill levels and knowledge
