Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively with both clients and team members. This candidate needs to be willing to do both daily visits or live-in care assignments.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation and companionship.
- Support clients in following their individual care plans, ensuring all needs are met.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns.
- Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately in accordance with company policies.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to care provision.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills are required for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated and able to work independently.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for this role.
