Summary
We are a busy, friendly, and well-established local independent garage looking for an experienced Customer Service Advisor to join our team.
As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our front office. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent organisational skills, professionalism, and a good understanding of the motor trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answering telephone calls and responding to customer enquiries.
- Booking vehicles in for servicing, MOTs, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Managing the workshop diary and scheduling appointments.
- Liaising with technicians and keeping customers updated on the progress of their vehicles.
- Contact customers regarding additional work authorisations.
- Preparing estimates, invoices, and processing payments.
- Maintaining accurate customer and vehicle records.
- General reception and administrative duties.
- Delivering outstanding customer service at all times.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Customer Service Advisor within a motor garage or automotive workshop is essential. Applications without this experience cannot be considered.
- Excellent knowledge of the motor trade and the vehicle service, repair, and MOT process.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Strong computer, administration, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Professional, friendly, and reliable with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using garage management software would be an advantage.
