Overview
We're looking for a driven Customer Success Manager (also known as Client Success or Key Account Manager) to join UK Food Packaging at our Waltham Cross HQ (EN8 7LX) and grow our most important customer relationships in the FMCG food packaging sector. This role is all about retention and value — keeping clients delighted, helping them get the most from our packaging solutions, and turning strong relationships into long-term, growing partnerships.
You'll be the trusted point of contact for key accounts: understanding their goals, solving problems before they arise, and spotting new opportunities to add value. Proficiency in one or more Asian languages (such as Urdu or Mandarin) is highly desirable, enabling effective communication with clients and suppliers across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of key accounts, acting as their main point of contact and trusted advisor.
- Drive retention and renewals by ensuring every client receives exceptional service and clear, measurable value from our solutions.
- Proactively identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new business across the FMCG food packaging industry.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, production, and design teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective packaging tailored to each client's needs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to achieve sales, margin, and retention targets.
- Track customer health, satisfaction, and sales performance, using those insights to prevent churn and shape account plans.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic account and sales planning.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to promote our products and build brand awareness.
- Maintain accurate records of all account activity using CRM and ERP systems.
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience in customer success, account management, or sales — ideally within FMCG packaging for the food sector.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop strategic, long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and at least one Asian language (e.g. Urdu, Mandarin, Hindi, or Cantonese) preferred.
- Familiarity with packaging materials such as films, cartons, wraps, and containers.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer accounts effectively.
- Results-driven, proactive, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
