We have a great opportunity for a Shift Quality Support operative to support the quality function at Devenish.
What you’ll be doing:
Sample Checks - Raw Material Intake (Bulk & Packaged materials)
- Incoming bulk raw material inspection, sampling & retention. Ensure verification of trailer last 3 loads & haulier scheme ID
- Incoming bulk raw material - start bins for intake
SCADA
- SCADA PR release
- Review and investigation of SCADA alarms
- SCADA surveillance of graphs (Belfast)
- Scada KPI
- Investigate scanning errors at tip-in. Root cause analysis
NIR Testing
- Conduct NIR testing on Creep & Matan production and incoming cereals.
- Record results on spreadsheet for review
Finished Oroduct / Raw Material Sample Checks
- Inspection, storage, retention and disposal of retained samples
- Using Production Schedule identify suitable products to be analysed and effectively communicate
QC Releases
- Carry out customer QC positive releases of finished product at the Mill and DC - e.g. packaging checks for presentation of finished products, Pallets, labels, barcodes scanning etc
- International Customer QC releases at the Distribution Centre / Mill when required
- Monitor bulk out-loading despatch
Non-Conforming product
- Extra sampling of non-conforming product for further testing.
- Labelling non-conforming product ‘Hold’
- Communicate any issues regarding raw materials, finished products or bulk raw materials.
- Investigate non-conforming reasons
Hygiene and Housekeeping Checks
- Conduct Hygiene and housekeeping checks/shift change over (Premix, Creep & Powerplant)
- Identify and communicate any foreign body hazards
- Highlight any pest control issues to relevant personnel
- Use Safety Culture application to conduct Monthly Hygiene and Housekeeping inspections
Retention of Production/Quality Records
- File paperwork on a daily basis.
- Co-ordination of Morgan Storage
XRF Testing
- Conduct XRF testing on RM & Premix production.
- Record results on spreadsheet for review
- Highlight any issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain grinding, testing equipment and lab environment in hygienic state.
Assist with complaint investigations
Training new personnel in Quality procedures
Essential Requirements
- Able to work shifts (currently 2 week rotation of 5am-1pm and 11am-7pm)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong team player with the ability and initiative to work independently
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable to business needs
- Full driving licence and access to a car
