Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including cleaning vegetables and organising ingredients.
- Support chefs with kitchen organisation, ensuring all utensils, cookware, and equipment are clean and properly stored.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently to maintain hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen appliances throughout shifts.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold a safe working environment for all staff members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant or hotel environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations, including cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
- A proactive attitude with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy hospitality setting.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy items when necessary.
